Who handles your information
Marginwake LLC is an independent publisher based in Michigan.

Information you provide
Manuscript submissions: first and last name, email address, query letter, synopsis, manuscript, required acknowledgments, and later correspondence about your work.
Contact requests: first and last name, email address, and any phone number, message or other information you choose to provide.
Newsletter signup: email address, signup choice and related subscription records. Signing up for a newsletter is separate from sending a manuscript or contact request.
Please avoid including identity documents, payment details or other unnecessary personal information in the form or your submission.
Why we use information
We use submission information to administer and evaluate manuscripts, manage editorial correspondence, keep track of decisions and respond to requests. We use contact information to answer the inquiry you sent.
If you separately choose to subscribe, we use your email address to send the newsletter and manage your subscription. We use your contact details to send receipts, decisions and other messages about your submission. These messages do not sign you up for marketing.
Website services may create technical and activity records, such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps and form activity, to operate and protect the website.
Wix and other access
We use Wix to host the website, receive and store form submissions, manage contact records and support site communications. Wix and its service providers process information to supply these services. Information may be processed outside the country where you live.
Submission records are accessible to the site owner and authorized collaborators. Editorial reviewers may need copies of submitted materials for review.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law or as reasonably necessary to address a legal claim, protect rights or respond to a security issue.
Retention
Declined or withdrawn manuscript files and review copies will be deleted within 12 months after decline or withdrawal. We will retain only limited records needed for administration or legal obligations. If law requires particular material to be kept longer, we will retain only what is required and limit its use to that purpose.
You may request earlier deletion; applicable rights and legal exceptions will govern how we respond.
Your requests and choices
Contact support@marginwake.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or to withdraw a submission. Please identify the relevant form or correspondence and the email address you used. We may need proportionate information to verify the request and protect another person's information.
The rights, response deadlines and exceptions that apply depend on your location and applicable law. Where provided by law, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, obtain portable information, withdraw consent, appeal a decision or complain to a privacy authority.
You can unsubscribe from marketing using the option in a marketing email or by contacting us. This does not prevent necessary replies about an existing submission or request.
Cookies and tracking
Wix uses cookies and similar technologies for website functions, security and related services. Additional apps or integrations can use additional technologies.
This notice does not represent that the site is free of tracking or that every browser signal is honored.
Security and age eligibility
We use Wix access settings intended to protect personal information and submitted work. No online service or storage method can guarantee complete security. This notice does not promise a particular malware-scanning service or absolute confidentiality.
Manuscript submissions are limited to authors who are at least 18 years old and reside in the United States, and manuscripts must be in English. The adult-fiction category describes the work being considered. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information through the submission process, contact us.

Material changes will be identified on the legal page, with additional notice or consent where required.
